At MDC Plus Travel, LLC (the parent company of Voyasea Travel), we believe in total transparency. Our Professional Planning Fees cover the dedicated time, deep research, and meticulous planning required to craft custom travel itineraries tailored to your unique style.
What Our Fee Covers
Our planning fees apply to customized itineraries that require extensive research, custom logistics, and local expertise to execute seamlessly. Every custom itinerary includes:
- Initial Design Consultation: A dedicated session to explore your travel preferences, interests, and budget requirements.
- Custom Day-by-Day Itinerary: Fully tailored schedules including accommodations, route planning, activity recommendations, and transit logistics.
- Curated Dining & Experience Recommendations: Hand-picked local spots, tour options, and hidden gems.
- Revision Period: Up to 2 rounds of itinerary revisions to ensure every detail matches your expectations.
- Booking & Execution: Complete reservation management and supplier communication.
For straightforward travel arrangements, such as cruise-only vacations or simple hotel-only bookings, we are pleased to offer our services with zero fees.
The planning fee covers Voyasea Travel’s custom research, design, and advisory services. It is separate from, and in addition to, any costs charged directly by hotels, airlines, tour operators, or other travel suppliers.

The Fine Print, Simplified
Before we begin, we’ll ask you to review and sign our Professional Planning Fee Agreement. The fee is charged the moment your specialist begins researching your custom arrangements.
Because this fee covers the dedicated research, expertise, and time poured into designing your trip, it is strictly non-refundable—even if your travel plans change, are postponed, or are canceled.
Additionally:
- Service Only: Fees cover our planning and advisory services and cannot be applied toward the cost of travel components such as flights, accommodations, or tours.
- Trip-Specific: Fees apply solely to the specific itinerary being created and cannot be transferred to future trips.
Payment Options
We love the convenience of credit cards! To help us keep our base planning fees as low as possible, a 3.5% convenience fee applies to all credit card transactions.
- Avoid the 3.5% convenience fee by paying via ACH, bank transfer, or Zelle. Please check with your financial institution to confirm any fees they may charge for these transfer methods. Please note: Personal checks are not accepted.
Note on Statements: Our fees are billed separately from your actual travel expenses (flights, hotels, tours, etc.), which are charged directly by each supplier. Our fee will appear on your billing statement as MDC Plus Travel LLC.
Cancellations & Refunds
All travel suppliers (airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, etc.) have their own unique cancellation policies. In the event you need to cancel your trip for any reason, suppliers may impose penalties up to the forfeiture of all deposits and payments. These charges are set directly by the providers, remain independent of MDC Plus Travel, LLC, and are beyond our control.
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance from a trusted provider to safeguard your investment. Although we are not insurance agents, we are happy to assist you in finding a plan that fits your needs.
Because our work begins the moment we start researching and designing your custom itinerary, we are unable to offer refunds on our professional planning fees.
Important State Disclaimers & Licensing
- California Residents: We offer a preliminary complimentary consultation. Should you choose to proceed with our bespoke planning, the professional planning fee will be invoiced upon confirmation of your travel arrangements. In compliance with California regulations, you won’t be charged our fee until your trip is fully booked. (CA Seller of Travel #2130335-70)
- Hawaii, Florida, Iowa, & Washington Residents: While we offer a wide range of travel services nationwide, independent travel planning is currently restricted for residents of HI, FL, IA, and WA. Please speak with a specialist to explore our alternative available offerings.
